Peer Tutoring
- A student exhibiting executive function deficits is paired with a teacher-selected classroom peer “to work on a certain academic activity, with the peer tutor providing one-on-one instruction and assistance” (Daley & Birchwood, 2009, p. 460).
- Through peer tutoring, the student is allowed to work at their own pace, which “improves classroom behavior and academic performance” (Daley & Birchwood, 2009, p. 460).
- Peer tutoring is essentially mindful partnering in the classroom which allows a student with executive function deficits the benefit of working with a neurotypical peer.

Create a cue to use with the student to help regain attention (walking by and gently tapping their shoulder)
